Why it matters
I have shared with you before that I now support myself through writing. I have a book coming out next summer— and I can’t wait to tell you more about it! While tens of thousands of you read my blog, not everyone accesses it through direct subscription. Many read through LinkedIn or Facebook. With direct subscription, however, you give me an opportunity to attract revenue streams, such as advertising, that will not impact your experience of reading my blog. You will still receive my blog directly through email.
We writers have one requirement: readers. For blogs, these are formalized through subscribers as well as visitors. Visitors are doing extraordinarily well. I’m not exaggerating when I say that sometimes 10,000 to 30,000 of you are visiting my blogs. I’m deeply honored by the interest and support in this blog and its messages.
My goal
From the beginning, my goal has been to encourage personal growth, lifelong learning, introspection and challenge among my readers. I welcome your lending your voice to my thoughts, in support or disagreement. Our American privilege and honor is our freedom of expression and our ability to collectively wrestle with ideas that bring us toward collective good. At least that’s my pursuit.
